NETGEAR Has Two New Wireless Networking Options For SMBs

If you’re looking to scale your Wave 2 Wireless-AC network, NETGEAR has two new switching platform options to consider:

ProSAFE M4200 Managed Intelligent Edge Series. NETGEAR says this is the world’s first full power PoE distribution switch for Wave 2 Wireless-AC access points to include eight 2.5Gb ports and two 10Gb uplinks. It has a plenum-rated slim design and mounting accessories to accommodate a variety of options for access point placement and cabling efficiency both inside and outside the rack.

ProSAFE M4300 Managed Intelligent Edge Series. This is the world’s first stackable platform with edge-to-core 10Gb stacking from 24-port 1Gb to 48-port 10Gb, NETGEAR says. All 10Gb ports are independent and 1Gb backward-compatible. This switch is built for availability and redundancy with a non-stop forwarding virtual chassis architecture with instant failover across the stack and dual redundant, modular power supplies.
