‘It’s the final straw’: Jeremy Corbyn’s ‘disastrous’ reboot alienates social media users across the political spectrum

Jeremy Corbyn appears to be a fan of caps of all types

Many have responded to Jeremy Corbyn’s ‘disastrous’ reboot, writing their views on social media.

It appears he has alienated people across the political spectrum.

Those hoping for a more populist approach from the Labour leader were left disappointed when he appeared to backtrack on the anti-immigration speech he is scheduled to make later today.

Some former supporters even compared his approach to Ukip’s.

However, his wishy-washy approach to immigration policy has also turned off some former supporters; as they have accused him of ‘capitulating to the Tories’ for softening his stance on free movement.

Additionally, those hoping for a new, media-savvy Corbyn were bitterly disappointed when he floated the controversial idea of a wage cap, knocking his EU speech off the agenda and making the conversation about his views on how much CEOs and footballers should earn.

He faced further embarrassment when he was pressed for a figure on the cap and he said it would be “somewhat higher” than his own salary of £138,000, which some have pointed out is vastly higher than the minimum wage.

Some compared his immigration stance to that of Ed Miliband

Which at the time went down like a lead balloon
