This week’s AppleInsider episode includes alleged renders of the “iPhone 14 Pro” with a hole-punch design, early iPad Air reviews, and the release of iPadOS 15.4 with Universal Control.
Early evaluations of the Mac Studio, Studio Display, iPad Air, and iPhone SE are available. We go into detail on the iPad Air coverage and compare it to the 11-inch iPad Pro.
According to Twitter leaker Majin Bu, Apple is developing floating app windows for iPadOS under the codename “Apple Mixer.” It’s thought that iPadOS 16 will be unveiled at WWDC later this year, and M1 iPads may acquire power-user features like this that are now inaccessible on the iPad and iPad mini.
Apple has made the updated iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4, and macOS 12.3 available to the public, including Universal Control and Face ID mask compatibility features. Apple TV also got new features like HomeKit camera picture-in-picture, Apple Watch confirmation, and support for Captive WiFi networks.
Next, 91mobiles leaked a series of CAD images that purport to depict the “iPhone 14 Pro” design. The notch on the front of this smartphone has been replaced by a pill form with a hole-punch cutout for Face ID and the front-facing camera. On the back, the camera bump mimics the current iPhone 13 Pro model, contradicting Jon Prosser’s prior reports.More Apple Insider podcasts.
