Blizzard Entertainment run an invitation-only stress test period for Overwatch starting this Friday, April 15, at 9 a.m. PT. If selected to participate in the test, players can try out the team-based multiplayer shooter until Saturday, April 16, at 9 p.m. PT.
All players will also be notified by email if they’ve been invited to participate. The stress test will include all 21 playable characters and three of Overwatch‘s maps: Hanamura, Route 66 and Nepal. The recently added Weekly Brawl and Competitive Play features won’t be available during the weekend campaign.
Overwatch‘s closed beta reopened in February after going on hiatus in December. It offers a variety of features and has received updates since its launch, including the new Competitive Play mode last week. An open beta will be available for those who don’t make it into this weekend’s invitational; that will begin May 5, or May 3 for those who pre-order the game on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
