Many people will openly admit it, but even if you don’t say it out loud most Texans would agree that Luby’s is pretty awesome, and the best thing on their menu is undoubtedly the mac and cheese.
So when the Texas-based cafeteria chain announced that the side dish (or main course, let’s be honest with ourselves) would be hitting the frozen food section of more that 270 H-E-B stores, it is understandable that there be a colossal social media meltdown of the best possible kind.

According to a press release sent out by Luby’s, the product will come in a 40 oz. family pack for $6.95 in both original and jalapeño flavors.
“We’re thrilled that two Texas traditions are joining together to make Luby’s famous Mac & Cheese available exclusively at H-E-B stores,” said Scott McClelland, President H-E-B Houston Division. “This iconic dish is beloved by Texans and we are honored to help bring it to dinner tables across the state.”Mac n’ cheese lovers will be able to pick up the product starting Monday, Dec. 5.
